How We Started
A Testimony of a Veteran being Healed of PTSD and Combat Injuries, and Starting Strength and Honor Healing Warriors
Strength and Honor Healing Warriors was started when David Bickford, an Army Infantry Leader in the 75th Ranger Regiment and veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom was healed by Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit of PTSD, TBI and other physical combat injuries. A healing and evangelism ministry was formed with the commission to go to veterans, military personnel and their families to bring healing to them and allow them to be empowered with fresh purpose in life. During the first several years of serving as a connecting point between heaven and veterans and their families through prayer and peer restoration teaching, the ministry saw veterans healed of PTSD and other emotional and physical combat injuries. In 2019, the ministry was formed into a non-profit in order to enable an expansion of its commission.
Today the ministry serves its commissioning through healing and teaching programs and events for veterans, military, and their families. We are also developing veteran team international mission trips focused on visiting locations that have experienced war or conflict in the preceding decades in order to bring them healing to these regions and also to assist the poor, orphans and widows in these countries.
We seek partners who are interested in helping financially to support veterans and their families find healing and restoration. Partners interested in hosting healing events for veterans, military and first responders or to host teaching seminars to be empowered to hold veteran and first responder healing events by their own organization in a repetitive manner. We teach some of the unique aspects of ministry to veterans who have experienced combat or traumatic events.
Our Senior Leader David Bickford has been licensed in Pastoral, Evangelism and Healing Christian Ministries in order to help build and coach teams and empower them to bring healing ministry to the veterans community and beyond.
